New York's 48th street was home to legendary music store staples such as Manny's Music, the first Sam Ash, Rudy's Music Stop, and 48th Street Custom Guitars. 48th Street Custom guitars shared a relationship with ESP Guitars from Japan, but the luthiers at 48th hand built custom guitars to customer specifications with the finest materials available, including bodies and necks hand-crafted one at a time rather than imported in bulk. These custom builds were very popular among artists, touring, and session musicians in the late 80s. This Stratocaster style was custom built for producer and Nashville session player Steve Gibson, featuring a flamed Maple body, birds eye flamed Maple neck and original Tom Anderson pickups. It is in great condition with a swapped Wilkinson bridge and locking Sperzel tuners, only missing its back plate. Includes an ESP Hard Case.
