This 1977 Music Man Sting Ray I in Black has just the right amount of wear to let you know it’s been used for its intended purpose—and used well. The pre-Ernie Ball design brings that late-’70s Leo Fender weirdness in all the best ways, with a slab body, bolt-on maple neck, and enough angles to make a Jazzmaster nervous. A few electronic changes have been made over the years, but it still sounds punchy, clear, and very alive. The neck feels solid and fast, with the kind of fretwork that makes you forget you're playing something nearly 50 years old. A sleeper vintage piece with a bit of edge and a lot of personality. Comes with HSC.
