This Melody Maker is an excellent example of the cool, unique student-model guitars Gibson produced in the early 1960s. Simple, lightweight, and full of character, it captures everything that makes these instruments so appealing to players and collectors alike. It plays very nicely, offering the familiar feel of an early-'60s Gibson with shades of both an SG and a Les Paul, just in a slightly smaller and more streamlined package. Tonally, the original single-coil pickup is clear, responsive, and surprisingly versatile, delivering a wide range of usable sounds with plenty of vintage character. The guitar is in a desirable, naturally aged condition that reflects its history without detracting from its playability or appeal. Includes a gig bag.
