This 1996 Taylor 912 Custom “Pierce” was custom ordered for Cary Pierce of the band Jackopierce and has the tone and feel of a guitar that has been genuinely loved and played. The natural red tint and custom star inlays reflect the Texas roots of the band. It sounds and plays great, with a warm, balanced voice and the comfortable, responsive feel that makes these early Taylors so enjoyable. The guitar shows plenty of honest wear, including heavy wear around the soundhole and top of the pickguard, numerous dings and scratches throughout, heavy capo rash behind the nut, and a red marker mark on the lower bout next to the center seam. Previous work includes a Taylor factory refret, neck reset and top crack repair in 2005, along with a CVG reglue of the tongue extension, bridge reglue, and setup. It is in good, stable condition and has plenty of character from years of playing. Comes with OHSC
