The 1968 Fender Telecaster Thinline was one of Fender’s first departures from the traditional solid-body Telecaster, and this Natural example shows off the model’s distinctive semi-hollow construction. The mahogany body is noticeably lighter than a standard Telecaster, with the large F-hole giving the instrument an immediately recognizable appearance. Its traditional Tele pickup configuration keeps the sound distinctly Fender, and the maple neck and fingerboard provide the familiar feel of the period. With its understated Natural finish and unusual construction, this is a particularly interesting chapter in the history of the Telecaster. Although this guitar's playability would benefit from a refret, we have opted to forego that process to preserve its 100% original state. Includes original Fender black tolex hard shell case.
