Though introduced as student guitars, Melody Makers and their Kalamazoo-made Epiphone counterpoint the Olympic were made during Gibsons golden era for electric instruments with the same craftsmanship and often by the same skilled workers as some of the most coveted instruments in the world. This two pickup model from 1962 has all of the available features these guitars offered; an epiphone tremolo system with a pair of original single coil pickups, 4 controls for volume and tone, and a great playing, slim profile neck. The thinner bodies on these make them extremely comofrable and the double cutaway design unique to this model makes for easy access all the way up the neck. These are some of the last sleepers in the vintage world priced lower than many modern Gibson reissues.
