This 1962 Fender Stratocaster dates to a period when the model had become a central part of the rapidly evolving electric guitar landscape of the early 1960s. Finished in Sunburst, it features many of the appointments players associate with this era, including a slab rosewood fingerboard and the familiar trio of single-coil pickups. By the time this guitar left Fullerton, the Stratocaster had already found its way into surf music, early rock and roll, and countless recording sessions across the country. This example remains in very good condition and has benefited from several maintenance-oriented updates over its lifetime. A professional refret ensures smooth playability, while a shimmed nut and replaced output jack address common wear items found on instruments of this age. More than sixty years after its production, this Stratocaster stands as a reminder that many vintage guitars were built to be used, adapted, and enjoyed across generations of musicians. Includes brown tolex hard shell case.
