About this guitar
This is a 1968 Fender Telecaster Custom, currently in stock at Carter Vintage Guitars in Nashville, Tennessee and listed at $17,000. Nashville Guitar Finder tracks it alongside the rest of the city's boutique and vintage inventory so you can compare it without hopping between shop websites. The shop is always the source of truth for price, condition, and availability — confirm details with them before you make the drive.
This 1968 Tele Custom has accumulated plenty of honest history over the years, with checking, finish wear, and wear along the neck giving it a well-played look. The neck pickup route has been enlarged, and the guitar has a replacement pickguard and nut along with a replacement set of frets. Two switches were added to the control plate but are not connected to anything, while the bottom strap button has also been replaced. The original ash tray has been removed and is included in the case. Overall, it remains in good vintage condition with the kind of wear and modifications that give a well-used late-’60s Fender its own personality. Includes OHSC.
