The original ES-339 was introduced to deliver the response of Gibson's classic semi-hollow design in a more compact format. In 2012 it was decided on a variant - a 3399 that showcased the same guitar built in a very limited number with a neck profile in feel and size closer to a '59 Les Paul, hence the additional "9"! Taking it a step farther, this example is extra special, as it has quite the provenance! A true "1 of 1" custom fitted with a Stereo TRS output and a Fishman acoustic bridge (Built as a prototype of an all new model that never made normal production). The electronics consist of 2 normal magnetic volume controls but with a master tone; and a volume control specifically for the acoustic output - a true stereo masterpiece finished in Vintage Sunburst. A very easy 9V battery compartment has been fitted to the side for the acoustic bridge for easy battery changing. The Memphis craftsmanship is evident throughout, with clean binding work, quality materials, and a finish that complements the guitar's understated appearance. This 2012 ES-3399 stands as being extremely unique and highly versatile. Includes COA and OHSC.
