This 2026 Fender Custom Shop '63 Custom Esquire is a beautifully executed tribute to one of the most historically important guitars Fender ever built. The Esquire was the single-pickup guitar that started it all in 1950, predating even the Telecaster, and the bound-body "Custom" variant this one's based on gave the design a sharper, dressier look without losing any of that raw, single-pickup bite. Built on an ash body with a maple neck and rosewood fingerboard, it wears a '63 Strat-style "C" neck profile and a 9.5"-12" compound radius fingerboard, giving you vintage feel up front with a flatter, more modern playing surface as you move up the neck. The HW '63 Tele bridge pickup, measuring in at 5.98k, delivers that classic twangy Esquire snap and bite in a single-pickup format that forces you to get your tone entirely from your hands and your amp. At 6.8 lbs, it's remarkably light and comfortable to play for extended sessions, and it comes complete with its original hardshell case, ready to gig or add to a serious collection. This is Custom Shop craftsmanship applied to one of the purest, most original ideas in electric guitar history. This guitar is NEW and includes COA and OHSC.
