This 1960 Gibson Les Paul Jr. pairs a lightweight mahogany body with a comfortable slim oval neck, landing right in the period when Gibson had fully transitioned the model into its double-cutaway form. Finished in Cherry, it carries the lean, direct feel that made these guitars a fixture in rock, blues, and garage recordings through the decades. The original P-90 delivers the punchy midrange and sharp attack that players continue to chase in vintage Juniors. The neck has a fast, compact feel without getting too thin. Original Kluson “3 on a strip” tuners, original electronics, and untouched solder joints remain intact, with CentraLab pots dating to the 27th week of 1960. This example is in excellent condition overall with a clean, well-preserved look throughout. Includes ’70s hardshell case.
