This Gibson Custom Shop Historic Select '59 Les Paul captures many of the details that have made the original 1959 model one of the most sought-after electric guitars ever produced. Finished in Aged Cherry Sunburst, this 2016 example features a lightly aged appearance that gives it the look of a well-kept vintage instrument without decades of wear. Its flamed maple top, mahogany body, and pair of Custombumbuckers deliver the full, dynamic response expected from a late-'50s-inspired Les Paul. The Historic Select series represented some of Gibson Custom Shop's most detailed recreations of the period, with an emphasis on vintage-inspired construction and aesthetics.
