Lemon Burst and an Ultra Heavy Aged finish give this 2021 Gibson Murphy Lab 1959 Les Paul Standard the appearance of a well-worn vintage instrument. The carved maple top, mahogany body, and rounded ’50s-style neck follow the familiar recipe of the original 1959 Les Paul, while a pair of Custombucker humbuckers provides the expected PAF-style response. Murphy Lab’s aging extends across the finish, hardware, and plastics, with extensive wear throughout that gives the guitar a thoroughly broken-in look. This is a detailed Custom Shop recreation of the ’59 Les Paul, finished in one of Gibson’s more distinctive Burst variations. Includes OHSC.
