This 2009 Gibson Custom "Inspired By" Robby Krieger SG Standard in Aged Cherry is a serious piece of rock history; a limited run of only 150, built to replicate the exact 1967 SG Krieger played with The Doors, right down to Gibson Custom's Murphy-aged finish recreating the dings and belt rash of his original guitar. Krieger himself was hands-on in the project, selecting '57 Classic humbuckers to nail the warm, balanced PAF-style tone he wanted, paired with a hybrid neck profile blending his '67 SG's feel with a classic '61-style carve. Period-correct details like the ABR-1 bridge, Maestro vibrola tailpiece, and vintage tulip tuners round out an instrument built to look and play like it just came off the road with The Doors, not off a factory line. Each one shipped with a Gibson Custom case, care kit, and Krieger's signed certificate, making this a genuinely rare, artist-authenticated collector's piece rather than just another signature model. Includes COA and OHSC.
