About this guitar
This is a 2006 Gibson '61 SG Standard VOS, currently in stock at Carter Vintage Guitars in Nashville, Tennessee and listed at $3,750. Nashville Guitar Finder tracks it alongside the rest of the city's boutique and vintage inventory so you can compare it without hopping between shop websites. The shop is always the source of truth for price, condition, and availability — confirm details with them before you make the drive.
The ’61 SG Standard recreates the early version of Gibson’s double-cutaway solidbody, with the slim body, small pickguard, and large control layout associated with the original design. This 2006 VOS example has an Antique White finish, with a Mahogany body and neck, Rosewood fingerboard, and a pair of Burstbuckers. The VOS treatment gives the hardware and finish a lightly aged appearance, while the simple combination of nickel hardware and cream appointments keeps the look clean. It’s a nicely executed early-’60s style SG from Gibson’s Custom Shop of vintage-inspired reissues. Includes OHSC and COA.
